Where does the session take place?
I shoot on location, either at your home or at an outside location. New to 2018 I now have studio space available for newborns, headshots, and those cold Indiana months! There are a ton of great locations in Bloomington (Campus, parks, farms, etc). During scheduling we will discuss what feel you would like your photos to have and if you would prefer a more rural or urban setting. I have several places I can suggest and give visual examples of so you can choose.
What if it rains?
The weather in Indiana is unpredictable for sure. Cloudy days pose no problems for sessions, however if there is steady rain we will need to reschedule your session for the next available time.
How long do sessions last?
I do not put a time limit on sessions. Some children need time to warm up, some are ready to run and play right away. A family or child session typically last an hour. Newborn sessions can last much longer since newborns may need to be fed, rocked, and soothed. Allow 3 to 4 hours for a newborn session.
Do you bring props?
Depending on the age of your child and the location you choose I will bring appropriate props; chairs, crates, blankets, toy airplanes, etc. For newborn sessions I will bring several different set ups.
How should I prepare for my session?
During the session I want everyone to be as comfortable as possible. When photographing children we will play, run around, and have tons of fun. The more natural everyone is the better the photographs will be!

What comes with each session?
Each session includes email and/or phone consultation, session time which is variable depending on the type of session, professional editing of the best images, and high resolution images downloaded from a password protected online gallery with reproduction rights.
What are reproduction rights?
Reproduction rights allow you to print your images. The digital image files you will receive are high resolution. I retain copyright of the images, meaning I can use the images for display and advertisement.
Where should I get my photos printed?
I suggest getting your photos printed at a professional lab. I highly recommend mpix.
How long will it take to get my photo gallery?
Processing and editing takes approximately two weeks. You will receive an email with a gallery link, password, and directions for downloading your images.
How and when do I pay?
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule a session date. The remaining balance is due the day of the session. An invoice will be sent to your email address and once the deposit is paid your session date and time will be reserved.
